My Job...
As teachers we want students to learn from and be encouraged by us. Today, I reminisce about ALL of the AMAZING students who have inspired me throughout my years of teaching, and I am eternally grateful for the lessons they have taught me, and the passion they continue to put inside me making me LOVE my job! Love to all of my former, present, and future students for the learning we have done/will...

lil-brieezy:
I wasn’t going to rant… or acknowledge today really… and then I went back to “YEAH, I gotta get this out of my system.” My first encounter with another human being today was with the delivery guy who brought my beloved new laptop to me this morning before work (Yay! Finally!). And I was EXCITED about it. But the encounter went a little something like this…
Delivery Guy: This...
Women = Weddings
After a long day and drive home from school/work tonight, I was listening to the very entertaining hip hop of today 97.1 radio station….ending the latest hit, insert commercial and me half paying attention (because of TiVo I usually change commercials, but not tonight)…women’s basketball…halftime…wedding expo?! Spent a month THERE one night...: Groundhog Day →
lil-brieezy:
I woke this morning to a funny—yet tragically relevant—text this morning from my dear friend, Julie. “Sometimes I feel like my life is a bad version of Groundhog Day.”
It’s true… sometimes I do feel like there is a crazed groundhog behind the wheel and I am just a passenger. Ok, not really…
Oh Bri…I love you and your random texts…and ALWAYS being on the other...

Great Things...
“I just have to say, as I said in my notes, you did great! You do things most scholars don’t know how to do. I expect great things to come from you. I really mean that, I don’t just say that. You are going to be and are an intelligent scholar.”

Me: Lol well we all know how good I am at judging sexual orientation

Tonight
Mal: We have Kyles thing tonight!
Me: How weird I was just going to text you that
Mal: We are women Julie, we are automatically connected through ecofeminism and the mere fact that we have vaginas
Me: Yes! Also we are connected through the fact that we are not men- thank you Burke, ironic that we use male produced ideas to explain our position in the world?!
